1. Merchant of Record

All payments for Cerebro are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle is responsible for collecting payments, issuing invoices, and handling tax compliance (VAT, GST, sales tax) on our behalf.

By subscribing to Cerebro, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms, which govern the payment relationship.

2. Refund Criteria

Our refund policy is based on a single, objective criterion: whether infrastructure resources were consumed on your behalf.

When you subscribe, Cerebro provisions dedicated infrastructure for your account — knowledge graph database, vector store, document memory, and compute. Once those resources are provisioned and used, real costs are incurred that cannot be reversed.

  • No resources consumed: You subscribed but never connected a repository or ran any operation. Full refund granted upon request, regardless of plan type or time elapsed.
  • Resources consumed: You connected a repository, triggered a codebase parse, or ran queries against the knowledge graph. No refund is issued — infrastructure was provisioned and compute was spent.

This criterion applies equally to monthly and annual plans. Cancelling your subscription stops future charges; it does not trigger a refund for the current period if resources were consumed.

3. What Counts as Resource Consumption

The following actions constitute resource consumption and make a subscription non-refundable:

  • Connecting a repository or uploading code to the platform.
  • Triggering a codebase parse or knowledge graph construction.
  • Running any query against the knowledge graph, vector store, or document memory.
  • Using the AI pipeline for code generation, impact analysis, or any other operation.

Simply creating an account and logging in does not constitute resource consumption.

4. How to Request a Refund

If you believe no resources were consumed on your account, contact us at contacto@cerebrolabs.tech with:

  • The email address associated with your account.
  • Your Paddle order or transaction ID (found in your payment confirmation email).

We will verify your account's usage logs and respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Paddle billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals immediately. Your access continues until the end of the current paid period.

After your subscription ends, you have 30 days to export your data. After this period, your data may be permanently deleted from our systems.
